Each NEEPS MD tablet contains nimesulide B.P 100mg.
Nimesulide is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that reduces the pain and inflammation by interfering with the prostaglandin synthesis. Nimesulide relieves major inflammatory symptoms such as swelling, pain and fever. NEEPS MD is a mouth-dissolving tablet, which dissolves and gets absorbed quickly ensuring a faster action. This serves as the first choice of the dosage form for pediatrics, geriatrics and traveling patients.
Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that selectively inhibits the cyclooxygenase-mediated conversion of arachidonic acid to inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes and relieves pain.

NEEPS MD tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity towards nimesulide. It is also contraindicated in patients with hepatic impairment, renal impairment and bleeding disorders.
Adverse effects of this medicine include abdominal discomfort, heartburn, headache, dizziness and drowsiness.
There are no sufficient and well-controlled studies when it comes to nimesulide administration in pregnant women and nursing mothers. Therefore, if you are pregnant or nursing, discuss with your doctor about your condition before taking this medicine.
Nimesulide should not be co-administered with other hepatotoxic drugs.
