Mintozyme Drop

Each 5mL of MINTOZYME drops contains diastase 33.33mg, pepsin 5mg and simethicone 40mg.

MINTOZYME is a unique formulation of starch and protein-digesting enzymes along with an anti-foaming agent, simethicone. This combination effectively addresses indigestion, abdominal distension, bloating, feeling of fullness in the stomach and intestine in adults and children.

Diastase and pepsin are digestive enzymes, whose functions are to break down carbohydrates and larger protein molecules to maltose and simpler peptides, respectively. These two enzymes improve the digestion and nutrient absorption. This combination is also said to be a strong appetite stimulant.

Simethicone belongs to the class of surface-active substances and it works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, causing them to combine to form larger bubbles and facilitating their expulsion either through belching or flatus.
