Rabeprazole is a rapid acting proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Rabeprazole is a substituted benzimidazole which suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric H+/ K+ ATPase at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. This enzyme is regarded as the acid (proton) pump within the parietal cell. Rabeprazole blocks the final step of gastric acid secretion.
Levosulpiride is more selective and acts primarily as dopamine D2 antagonist.it is also a moderate agonist at 5-HT receptor.Its 5-HT4 component may enhance its therapeutic efficacy in GI disorders.This property together with antagonism at D2 receptor may contribute to its GI prokinetic effect.

Hypersensitivity,history of epilepsy,alcohol intoxication,phaeocromocytoma,hypokalemia.It indibits gastric acid secretion and may interfere with the absorption of drug swhere gastric pH is an important determinant of bioavailability (ketoconazole,digoxin).
Caution should be exercised when administering levosulpiride with alcohol,since it can produce increase in sedative effects of alcohol.
Special caution is recommended in case of administering levosulpiride together with psychopharmaceutical drugs, since an increase of undesired effect may occur.

Rabeprazole is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
