Each SIMGESIC-D tablet contains serratiopeptidase 10mg and diclofenac sodium 50mg.

Cyclooxygenase or the prostaglandin synthetase is the enzyme that converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandins, leukotrienes and other inflammatory mediators. These inflammatory mediators are associated with pain and swelling and suppressing their production, will relieve the pain.
Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that is derived from the bacterium, Serratia sp. E-15.Serratiopeptidase hydrolyzes histamines, cytokines, bradykinin and serotonin and eventually reduces the pain and swelling that are associated with the inflammation.
