Description:

PEDFILL GP is a unique formulation that is specially designed for babies. In the initial stages of growth and development, babies need vitamins, minerals and dietary fats for the healthy brain and bone development. PEDIFILL GP contains ALA and colostrum that is rich in necessary antibodies and other nutrients. In spite of being required in minimum quantity, these nutrients are necessary for all major biological functions.

Both saturated and unsaturated fatty acids are essential parts of the diet. These fats are extremely essential for cell division and growth as fats are one of the key components of plasma membrane of the cell. Human brain is 60% made up of fats and these are very much essential for the normal functioning of the brain cells. Deficiency of essential fatty acids could lead to hampered brain functions and reduced cognitive abilities. DHA and other unsaturated fats play a crucial role in facilitating the communication between the brain cells. Essential fatty acids play a key role in improving the cognitive functions like thought processing, memory, concentration, etc. Dietary fats are also helpful in increasing the levels of BNDF, the brainís growth hormone. This hormone boosts the production of brain messengers and prevents their degradation. Cholesterol is also a component of the cell membrane whose function is to prevent the cells from undergoing shock due to temperature change.

Iron is found to have a crucial role in brain development. Deficiency of this mineral can lead to motor skill disorders and reduced cognition in children. Iron also has a positive impact on the growth and development of the baby. Iron is also essential for RBC production, as it serves as a key component of hemoglobin protein.

Calcium is one of the key component of the bones and it helps the kids achieve bone mass and prevents bone weakness. Calcium is always administered with vitamin D, as the latter is required for the absorption of calcium.

Zinc has a positive impact on cognition and development. This mineral develops immune system in the babies and ensures optimum cell growth and repair. Zinc deficiency can lead to impaired growth, increased infection risks and diarrhea.

Vitamins are the micronutrients with crucial functions. Vitamin deficiencies can have a negative impact on motherhood and some of the complications of vitamin deficiencies include birth defects, mental retardation, reduced cardiac health and growth disorders in the babies.

  • Vitamin A is essential for the development of healthy vision in the babies and energy production.
  • B-complex vitamins play a significant role in brain development; these are also necessary for the energy production. Many of the B-type vitamins serve as the cofactor for metabolic reactions such as cellular respiration, detoxification, neurotransmitter synthesis, etc. Folic acid or vitamin B9 is essential for cell division and growth of the fetus. This vitamin also plays a key role in protecting the fetus against birth defects and growth retardation. Biotin is essential for the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Vitamin B5 is necessary for the production of neurotransmitters in the brain and absorption of proteins and other nutrients from the food.
  • Vitamin C is helpful in reducing the incidences of placental abruption. It is essential for the synthesis of collagen, which is one of the key constituents of bones, skin, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Vitamin C stimulates tissue repair, bone growth and boosts the bodyís immune system.
  • Vitamin D has a critical role in strong immune function, healthy cell division, and bone development. Vitamin D is also necessary for the infusion of calcium and other minerals into the bone matrix. Preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication is found to be caused due to vitamin D deficiency.
  • As a strong antioxidant, vitamin E protects the cell membranes against oxidative damage. It supports the healthy brain function, vision, and immune system.

Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) prevents all neurological disorders and growth retardation in babies. ALA is an essential amino acid that contributes to brain and nerve tissue development. ALA serves as a precursor for DHA and EPA. ALA is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent that is helpful in preventing infection risk. ALA is helpful in maintaining the normal heart rhythm and heart pumping. DHA is also helpful in the development for brain in the babies. This dietary fat is essential for optimal brain function and plays a vital role in the communication between the brain cells. DHA is important for healthy visual development. DHA improves the anti-inflammatory responses and reduces the risk of infections.

Lutein is a powerful antioxidant that scavenges free radicals and prevents the formation of new free radicals. Lutein plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the babies. It also boosts the cognitive abilities.

Colostrum that is secreted right before the breast milk production is rich in proteins and contains very less fat when compared to the breast milk. It also contains many other nutrients such as carbohydrates, vitamins, antibodies, minerals, digestive enzymes, and important growth factors. Colostrum improves the babyís immune system. Colostrum has strong antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory agents that protect the babies against various infections.

How it works:

Adequate nutrient uptake and a balance diet provide a solid foundation for the development of a healthy immune system. Infants and toddlers are highly vulnerable to infections. In such cases, the babies must be fed with nutrients that are helpful in strengthening their immune system. PEDIFILL GP powder contains vitamins, minerals and dietary fats that are very much helpful in promoting the healthy growth and development of the baby.
