  • PROTEINS - For proper growth and development
  • VITAMINS - For proper metabolism and functioning of organs
  • ENERGY - For physical activity
  • MINERALS - For proper metabolism and functioning of organs

SCIENCE BEHIND NUTRITION

Calcium - An important mineral for optimal bone health and teeth. Calcium plays a crucial role in performing the body functions, like hormone secretion stimulation, participation in contracting muscles, nerve impulse transmissions, immune system, mental capacity and learning.

Protein - An important macronutrient required by the body for building, repairing, maintaining tissues, making antibodies, building nucleoproteins (RNA/DNA), carrying oxygen throughout the body and assisting muscle activity.

Vitamins - Vitamins are organic compounds needed in small quantities to sustain life. Lack of vitamins may cause certain deficiencies. The presence of various vitamins –namely vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D and E contributes towards energy production in the body, for enzyme activity, formation of healthy blood cells and haemoglobin, protection from infections, boosts immune system, promotes normal growth and development and acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage.

L-Arginine - Is a precursor molecule for the production of nitric oxide, an essential signalling molecule to improve increase blood flow to muscle tissue, delivery of essential nutrients and oxygen for metabolism and protein synthesis and also lead to efficient waste removal system.

L-Carnitine - is involved in energy metabolism and mitochondrial protection. It is made in the body, but can also be consumed through food. As an antioxidant fights against free radicals and neutralizes them. It is often used as a brain booster, due to its ability to increase alertness and mitochondrial capacity while providing support for the neurons.

DHA - Docosahexaenoic acid is an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid. It is of most importance for the development of infants and promotes better mental development. It plays an important role in the development of eye and nerve tissues.

Folic acid - It is one of the most essential of all vitamins. It is needed for the production and maintenance of new cells in the body. Folic acid is necessary during the periods and pregnancy when there is rapid cell growth and division.

Carbohydrates – Provides energy required to perform our daily activities. Apart from providing energy they also benefit to control weight and prevent diseases.

Fat - Plays a vital role in maintaining healthy skin and hair, insulating body organs against shock, maintaining body temperature and promoting healthy cell function.

Niacin - Also known as nicotinic acid, it plays an integral role in the conversion of food to energy and also helps synthesize necessary macromolecules like fatty acids and cholesterol. As a water-soluble vitamin, niacin is continuously lost in the urine and needs to be replaced in one’s diet.

Biotin – Vitamin B7 is required for healthy metabolic, nerve, digestive and cardiovascular functions in the body. It also acts as a coenzyme required for the metabolism of fatty acids, amino acids and glucose.

Pantothenic acid - Also known as Vitamin B5 is beneficial in treating serious mental disorders like chronic stress and anxiety. It is involved in the production of neurotransmitters in the brain, fabrication of steroids, and extraction of fats, proteins and other vital nutrients from food.

Iodine – A trace mineral required by every organ and tissue of the body to maintain proper thyroid function and cell metabolism.

Potassium – Regulates fluid balance and controls the electrical activity of heart and other muscles. It is an electrolyte that counteracts the effects of sodium and helps to maintain healthy blood pressure.

Phosphorus - Deficiency in phosphorus can lead to lowered appetite, anaemia, muscle pain, improper bone formation (rickets), numbness and a weakened immune system.

Magnesium - Magnesium is needed by the body to maintain normal muscle and nerve function. It also helps to maintain a healthy immune system heart rhythm.

Zinc – Stimulates the activities of various enzymes in the body. Other roles of zinc are to maintain healthy immune system, promote healthy growth and to heal wounds.

Iron – Essential component of every living organism. It is optimum for production of haemoglobin cofactors. Iron is also required for the proper growth of human body and maintenance. It is an essential protein component for metabolism and production of blood cells.

Selenium – An extremely vital mineral required by the body to increase immunity. It also has antioxidant activity to defend free radicals and inflammation and plays a key role in maintaining a healthy metabolism.

Copper – Supports proper growth of the body, efficient utilization of iron, proper enzymatic reactions, improves health of connective tissues, hair and eyes. It also prevents premature aging and increases energy production.

Sodium - Sodium is an important element consumed for controlling blood pressure and blood volume.

Chloride – is essential component needed by the body to keep a proper balance of body fluids. It also forms an essential part of digestive juices and maintains body’s acid-base balance.
