Aceclofenac and paracetamol acts on prostaglandins while serratiopeptidase acts on histamine and bradykinin which improve the spectrum of activity of NSAIDs by reducing swelling.

DESCRIPTION

Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used for treatment of mild to moderate pain. The drug is classified as an analgesic and an anti-inflammatory agent. It is commonly used to treat arthritis, headache, low back pain, premenstrual cramps, toothache and muscle pain. Aceclofenac is a cytokine inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the actions of cyclo-oxygenase, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins.

Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic action with weak anti-inflammatory activity. It produces analgesia by increasing pain threshold and antipyresis by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating centre.

Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme produced by enterobacterium serratia species. Serratiopeptidase has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and is particularly useful for post-traumatic swelling, fibrocystic breast disease and bronchitis. It is able to digest dead tissue, blood clots, cysts, and arterial plaques. Clinical studies have shown it to be effective at reducing swelling and edema and metabolizing scar tissue in the body.
