Hypersensitivity to Deflazacort
Mild to moderate typhoid
Caution should be exercised when DISCORT 6 is prescribed in patients with adrenal suppression, infections (chickenpox, measles).
Caution should be exercised when prescribing DISCORT 6 to patients with high blood pressure, heart failure or recent heart attack.
Avoid long term use of DISCORT 6 and abrupt withdrawal.
Weight gain, GI disturbance, impaired healing, bone fractures, tiredness, irritability.
In pregnant women Deflazacort does not cross the placenta but for prolong use it may increase the risk of intra-uterine growth retardation.Corticosteroids are excreted in breast milk no data are available .
