Description:

CLINDIS-N is the brand name for the anti-acne formulation that includes clindamycin and nicotinamide. This combination is effective against the inflamed acne lesions; its regular application is helpful in the prevention of future acne breakouts. It works on both oily and dry skin.

Clindamycin:

Clindamycin is a widely known bacteriostatic agent. This semi-synthetic drug is derived from lincomycin and belongs to the class of lincosamides. Its mechanism of action involves inhibition of protein synthesis by binding to the 50S subunit of the 70S ribosome. Topical application of clindamycin heals acne by killing the bacteria that cause acne and prevents further bacterial skin infections.

Nicotinamide:

Nicotinamide, which is a form of vitamin B3, prevents acne formation with its anti-inflammatory properties. It also stimulates ceramide synthesis and improves the epidermal permeability barrier functions, and gives a supple and youthful look to the skin.

Indications:

  • Acne vulgaris
  • Skin infections caused due to bacteria
  • Oily skin

Direction of Use:

A thin film of CLINDIS-N has to be applied twice a day on the affected area.

Before applying this cream, the affected area must be thoroughly washed and pat dried. CLINDIS-N has to be applied to the entire area rather than the pimples only, as this will prevent the new pimples from erupting. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this medication and avoid contact with your eyes or mouth.

Use CLINDIS-N gel until the skin becomes acne-free or as long as recommended by your dermatologist.
