Description

Bilby Tablet is a combination of Ginkgo Biloba with B-vitamins. Ginkgo biloba, is known as the maidenhair tree, it is one of the oldest species of trees on the planet. The plant has a number of therapeutic properties and contains high levels of flavonoids and terpenoids these are antioxidants that provide protection against oxidative cell damage from harmful free radicals.Ginkgo Biloba works by increasing blood flow to the brain and through the entire body's network of blood vessels, which supplies oxygen and nutrients. Good blood circulation is essential for good health - better blood circulation promotes general longevity and helps to keep you healthy.Bilby Tablets are formulated with an optimum complex of Fiveessential B vitamins which are included for the role they play in supporting normal neurological and psychological functions alongside vitamin C.

GINKGO BILOBA IS HELPFUL SUPPLEMENT FOR:

  • Blood flow disorders (circulatory disorders), such as thrombophlebitis, Raynaud's phenomenon and peripheral arterial disease
  • Asthma and allergies
  • Mental decline (dementia)
  • Memory and concentration problems, anxiety, stress and mood problems

Major chemical constituents of Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo contains a wide variety of phytochemicals, including alkanes, lipids, sterols, benzenoids, carotenoids, phenylpropanoids, carbohydrates, flavonoids, and terpenoids. The major constituents are flavonoids of which mono-, di-, and tri-glycosides and coumaric acid esters that are based on the flavonolskaempferol and quercetin dominate. Lesser quantities of glycosides are derived from isorhamnetin, myricetin, and 3í-methylmyricetin. Nonglycosidicbiflavonoids, catechins, and proanthocyanidins are also present. Characteristic constituents of this plant material are the unique diterpene lactones ginkgolides A, B, C, J, and M and the sesquiterpene lactone bilobalide.

Indications

As supportive nutritional supplements along with the treatments of:

Vertigo and Tinnitus Gingko biloba is one of the most studied herbal medicines. It is well established that Gingko enhances blood flow to the periphery (edges of the body), in particular to the head and brain. If tinnitus is due to circulatory problems, Gingko is likely to help; otherwise it will merely improve memory.

Peripheral arterial disease (Atherosclerosis) Atherosclerosis is caused by excessive plaque build-up in the blood vessels, due to deposits of fatty substances, which also reduces blood flow. It is extremely dangerous conditions reducing the blood vesselís ability to expand which can lead to coronary artery disease. Ginkgo has a tonic effect on the lining of blood vessels which allows the blood vessels to expand and contract with the pumping of the heart. It also helps dissolve plaque on blood vessel walls and keeps it dissolved until it can be eliminated by the body.

Cerebral Insufficiency The brain needs two key substances in order to maintain proper functioning; glucose (sugar) and oxygen. Glucose and oxygen are the basic fuels for the brain. Ginkgo has been shown to increase the uptake and utilization of glucose and improves oxygen use by increasing the blood supply. Cerebral vascular insufficiency (lack of proper blood flow to the brain) is extremely common among the elderly. Ginkgo Biloba has shown to produce a significant regression of the major symptoms of cerebral vascular insufficiency and impaired mental performance.

Potent Antioxidant Free radicals are involved in many types of tissue damage and are believed to be responsible for many human diseases, including cancer. The chemical compounds in Ginkgo biloba responsible for fighting free radicals are the ginkgo flavonoids. These flavonoids have been shown in laboratory studies to be up to 10 times more potent free radical scavengers than flavonoids found in other plant sources
